It’s not just new installations that ACA deliver solutions for, many of our customers also rely on us for ongoing maintenance and repair work.
After attending one customers’ site we raised all 4 doors to stop the intumescent strip from rubbing on the Threshold stopping the doors from closing correctly. The left door on the left set of doors from inside we completely removed the door to lift the door 3mm to give a better gap at the bottom, the other 3 doors we loosed of the door and made adjustments to get the doors to lift up and stop intumescent strip from rubbing on the threshold as much as it previously was. All the three doors with intumescent are now only gently rubbing on the threshold. We also made adjustments to the arms on each door and also the maglock on the right door of the right set of door.
Once we had done all this we slowed down each doorstop the doors damaging the mag lock. We tested all doors and found that each one was locking with no issue. When we went to replace the locks on the internal door, we found that the locks had not been sent. Instead, we to the whole lock apart and found an issue with the spring. We managed to get the spring to work correctly to stop it from jamming up. The lock on the left door is now working but the lock still seems for stiff that the right doors lock. This lock may also end up falling again. We explained the issue to Carl and advised him of the repair that we made.
We also found the push button on the left set of doors was intermittently working, we loosed the push button and this seemed to fix the issue. All doors now seem to be locking and working with no issues.
